Best DIY face mask for dry skin
If you’re looking for a moisturizing, brightening and softening solution, you’re in the right place. This mask is a personal favorite of Abena Antwi, a research associate and product designer at Bees at Burt’s. “I have dry skin in the winter months, so I make my face mask every weekend to treat my skin and to pamper myself on the weekend,” says Antwi. Mask, coconut (rich in minerals, vitamins, and omega fatty acids), honey (moisturizing and strong anti-bacterial) and turmeric, which helps to maximize moisture and brighten the skin (anti-inflammatory) is done with. (Keep in mind: turmeric has many beauty benefits.)
Ingredients (for a mask):
- 1 tbsp. coconut (melted)
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 1 slice lemon (squeezed)
- 1/2 teaspoon. turmeric
- Mix everything in a small bowl and add the ingredients one by one.
- Apply to cleansed skin.
- Leave for 10 minutes. Rinse.
Tip: Since this mask contains lemon juice, make sure to clean your skin twice to make sure there is no lemon residue on your skin.
